Final Reflection:
I thought this class helped me to learn about a lot of new valuable information. I really like learning about making a website. I had fun making one and I will make a website for my students to stay connected to me and to my class in the future. I like being able to be creative and having a website that will be helpful for my students and me. I also liked learning about studio code. We will be using this more frequently in the future and it was good for us to learn this now instead of later. It also helped me to watch myself teach and i was able to pick out what i was doing wrong and then i can fix those problems. I also love using powerpoint presentations. They get the attention of a class better than just talking in front of the class. I will definitely use powerpoint in my classes. Also the ability to make an imovie is important because i think that when i become a PE teacher i want to make movies of my students and then show them to their parents so that the parents will feel involved in their children lives and will see how important physical active and education is. And hopefully their parents will encourage my students to participate in exercise outside of class.
At the beginning of this class, I was wondering how could we incorporate technology in teaching physical education. I thought that we are going to be teaching outside and in a gym and technology resources are not really available in the gym and outside. However, this class has showed me that there are many opportunities for technology in PE. I feel like my teaching will be more creative and productive after learning this new technology. I can video tape my athletes and show them where they are making mistakes and it will improve my team. I feel like technology will improve my teaching and ability to help my students and athletes. This class was very helpful for me.

The Web 2.0 tools seemed very useful. Facebook and things like that help students and teachers connected. For a teacher i think it would be useful because we can give assignments to the students and they don't even have to meet physically they can do everything over the internet. This technology can help group projects and as teachers we can make assignments and post them on the internet and then the students can get them. Also, as PE teachers we can make diagrams that are intricate and easy for our students to understand. It would also be better than drawing out a picture. Web 2.0 has and will keep helping education progress.

What I learned from using studio code is that i circulate around my kids a lot. I saw that I circulated around the students when they were involved in an activity and I think that is a good habit to start to form because I am then able to see all the kids and know if one of them needs my help. Circulating and keeping the kids in view at all times is effective in all age groups i can see the whole court or field and i can keep track of all my students at the same time. It is a good class management skills.
Another thing I learned from studio code is that I could see how effective signals and saying when before what is. The students are attentive when they hear two whistles and are ready for instructions. This is so effective for class management because i need to be in charge and when the students are listening to my signals and instructions the lesson goes a lot better and its a lot more fun too.
Next semester i need to be more articulate in my instructions to the students. Elementary students take everything you say so literally but they at least they listen. I think the older the students get the more they won't want to listen. So i need to know how to capture the attention of my class and be able to keep their attention throughout the whole lesson. That way everyone will have fun and we will be productive too.

Filming myself and reviewing the film helps me to become a better teacher because then i can see the specific aspects of my teaching that i need to work on. I can pin point those parts of my teaching that is not very good and then i was watch what i am doing wrong and then practice it and fix it for next time. You could also apply this to sports. When you watch yourself playing a sport then you can find the things you are doing wrong and you can see how you can fix it. I think this hands on way of teaching and learning is very effective and can help anyone improve exceptionally.

I think instructional videos will help very much in our profession. We can ask our students to find videos on the internet and they will be able to have a visual on what we are trying to teach them. Physical Education is physically doing activities and videos will help our students understand what we are teaching. I think these types of videos will help beginners the most because they are showing the basics. And i would have my students watch videos for homework or watch them for a part of my class and then actually try the actions we were learning in the videos. I think videos would be very useful and i think the students would enjoy them too.
